2021-22 Season Update and Rep Coach Announcement

Hello RiverCat Families,

 

We have lots of exciting new to share with you!!

 

It looks like we are going to be returning to 5on5 regular hockey this season!!  There will still be some precautions in place (i.e. masking when not on ice, screening, max. numbers in changeroom etc.) but many restrictions have been lifted so our season is going to look much more "normal" this year. 

 

Tryouts will be happening this year for our Rep teams.  We are currently waiting in OWs to release a tryout package that our players will register for on the website.  This package will include 2 development skates and 3 tryout sessions for a fair price. (U13, U15, & U18 will likely be starting around Aug. 17 - dates and cost TBA....please check website frequently).  It is possible additional rep teams will be added if numbers allow.  As per Hockey Canada guidelines U11 will commence after Labour Day.

Note: tryout registration will be separate from season player registration.  

 

We are thrilled to announce that Rep Coaches have been selected.  They all bring a great deal of hockey experience and knowledge and we are so happy they are a part of our RiverCat family. 

 

 

 

All teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.  Registration is progressing swiftly so please register to secure your spot on a team.  House players will start on the ice near the end of September.  Coaches are needed, please contact Mary our  House Convenor if interested.

 

We have to follow the protocols laid out by both the OWHA and our county/health unit.  Attached is the recently released arena protocols from Haldimand County.  Please refer to the OWHA website for their current protocols.
