The Haldimand Rivercats are thrilled to join Cayuga Minor Hockey and the Haldimand River Kings in celebrating "Hockey Day in Cayuga" on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Cayuga Memorial Arena. This full-day community event will showcase local talent, bring neighbours together, and raise funds to support minor hockey programs across Haldimand County. Hockey Day in Cayuga is a fundraising event which will involve nearly 1,000 young people between the ages of 3 and 22 representing Haldimand County organizations.
The day will feature an Equipment Swap presented by Stay Sharp Sporting Goods and a Free Pancake & Sausage Breakfast courtesy of Smelser Meats.

Cayuga Minor Hockey, the Haldimand River Kings and the Haldimand Rivercats will be on hand all day, selling event programs and Pucks for a Puck Toss. The Cayuga Warriors Football Team will sell 50/50 Tickets, and the Fisherville Lions Club will collect bottles and cans to maintain Lion Floyd's drive to support youth hockey and baseball teams.
In the morning, Cayuga Minor Hockey Players will show off their abilities and in the afternoon there will be Haldimand River Kings and Haldimand Rivercats Exhibition Games, a St. Catharines Brock Jr. Badgers - U13AA Girls Exhibition Game and a Public Skate.
The evening will feature an Exhibition Hockey Game that will be preceded by Special Guests, an Autograph Session, a live rendition of our National Anthem—O Canada, the Legion Honour Guard, an Official Puck Drop and a sponsor hospitality area in McSorley Hall.
Events will start at 8:00 a.m. and run throughout the day and into the evening. The day will be capped off as one lucky spectator can win a Honda ATV in the “Rapid Fire Shoot the Puck Contest” presented by Premier Equipment.
Admission will be free, and proceeds will support our Cayuga Minor Hockey, the Haldimand River Kings, and the Haldimand Rivercats.
